Carey-it-Off Productions, aptly named for Kathi Carey, is an independent production company producing quality entertainment. We believe there is a difference between a 'movie' and a 'film.' A movie is something you pay $10 to watch in a theatre on a Saturday night, eat a little popcorn, have a little fun, maybe laugh a little, and then go home and forget all about it. A film is something you pay $10 to watch in a theatre on a Saturday night, eat a little popcorn, have a little fun, maybe laugh a little, but in the process it makes you think about things -- maybe opens your eyes to something you never knew ... helps you see the world in a whole new light ... maybe even changes your life. We strive to make films -- projects that stay with you long after the lights come back on.

Separate stories of three individuals those lives are all changed by the same three little words: "You have cancer." Like The Hours and Crash...how many woman do you know?

It's a night none of them will forget...if they make it out alive. Described as a Hitchcockian thriller with an O'Henry ending, Dark Night on Route 66 is a paranoid mash-up of The Strangers and Final Destination.

"Truth is beauty ... Beauty -- truth. WORTH follows that dictum. It is also a clever way of showing us how our perceptions can be rather twisted."

Mr. Hopewell has finally given up. His life's work has come to nothing and the moment of his deepest despair is where our story begins. It is at this point that his life intersects with shy, baleful Darla June Koons, a dreamer, and Sheriff Leon, not a bad man--he just suffers from perennial sniffles that exacerbate his irritation with the carelessness of the people surrounding him. As these three come together they will change each others' lives in simple and profound ways. A whimsical tale set in an Andy Griffith town that's all Pushing Daisies.
